2014-15 Cold Spring Soccer Sign-ups / Evaluations

Cold Spring Soccer Club announces youth soccer sign-ups and evaluations for the 2014-15 season will be held in June, with practices beginning mid-August. We are one of the largest member clubs of the PVJSL, with the focus on developing the skills of Belchertown's young players and encouraging their enjoyment of the game.


Monday June 2: U8 Boys (Under 8 yrs old by 8/1) @ 5:30 - 7; U8 Girls @ 6:30 - 8 (Lower State School Field)

Wednesday June 4: U12, U13, U14 Girls sign-ups 6 - 7:30 @ Swift River Pavilion

*Evaluations will be held at a later date if needed for the Girls U12 - U14

Monday June 9: U9 Boys @ 5:30 - 7; U9 Girls @ 6:30 - 8 (Lower State School Field)

Tuesday June 10: U14 Boys @ 5:30 (Lower State School Field)
 

Wednesday June 11: U10 Boys sign-up 5:30; U10 Girls sign-ups 6:30 @ Swift River Pavilion

Friday June 13: U13 Boys @ 5:30 (Lower State School Field)

Saturday June 14 & Sunday June 15: U11 Boys @ 5:30 - 6:45; U11 Girls @ 6:45 - 8 (Lower State School Field)

Monday June 16 & Tuesday June 17: U12 Boys @ 5:30 (Lower State School Field)

Sign-ups for U10 Boys and U10, U12, U13 and U14 Girls, no evaluations are planned for theses age groups at this time, will be held at the Swift River Pavilion, rain or shine.

U8, U9, U11, U12, U13, U14 Boys and U8, U9 and U11 Girls should wear shin guards and bring a water bottle for evaluations held at the Lower State School Field behind the new Easthampton Savings Bank.

*U11 & U12 BOYS and U11 GIRLS SHOULD ATTEND BOTH EVALUATION DATES.

Mon, June 3: Boys U8 (under 8 years-old by August 1) 5:30 to 6:30; U8 Girls 6:30 to 7:30.

Tues, June 4: Boys U9 at 5:30; Girls U9 at 6:30.

Wed, June 5: Boys U10 at 5:30; Girls U10 at 6:30.

Sat, June 8 and Sun, June 9: U11 Boys 5:30 to 6:45; U11 Girls 6:45 to 8:00.

Mon, June 10: U12 Boys at 5:30; U12 Girls at 6:45.

Tues, June 11: U13 Boys at 5:30; U13 Girls at 6:45.

Fri, June 14: U14 Boys at 5:30; U14 Girls at 6:45.

U8, U9 and U10 sign-ups will be held at the Swift River School pavilion, rain or shine.  No evaluations are performed at these age levels.

U11s and up will be at the State School field across from Checkers.  U11s should attend both evaluation dates.  Please bring shin guards and water.

Mass Youth Soccer Conference: Coaches' Training

The 2013 Regional Youth Soccer Conference being held on Wednesday, Feb, 13, 2013 from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the Southwick Regional H.S.

The Regional Conference is a "FREE" 3-hour event sponsored by the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association.

Come join Ian Mulliner, Massachusetts Youth Soccer Director of Coaching, and his full-time Coaching Staff at the 2013 Regional Youth Soccer Conference. The Conference will include both classroom and field sessions and is designed as an opportunity for youth soccer coaches across the state to get to know your State Coaches and to discuss recent trends in coaching.

The Goalkeeper School at Soccer City is an all-inclusive training program specifically designed for keepers of all abilities. New keepers will learn the basics of proper handling technique, footwork, shot-stopping, and communication. Advanced goalkeepers will be challenged with handling, multiple saves, proper angles, high balls, agility/quickness, and much more.
